Consultation & Psychotherapy Services - Therapy begins with an evaluation of your needs. During our first appointment, I will offer some initial impressions of what our work together should include. If we decide to work together, we will schedule once or twice weekly, 45 minute sessions. Your appointment time is held for you and you will find that therapy is more effective this way. If you are considering medication, I work closely with a number of trusted psychiatrists and psychopharmacologists who can assist with that part of your treatment. As needed, I will consult with your other providers to ensure coordinated treatment.

Fees & Insurance - I do not work directly with insurance companies.  If you have a plan that allows you to select an out-of-network provider, you may be eligible for reimbursement. I am happy to assist you with this process. You are responsible for payment of individual weekly sessions.

Cancellation – Your time is reserved for you.  If it is necessary to cancel or miss an an appointment, I will make every effort to reschedule in the same calendar week. I will also offer a phone session if you are unable to come to my office.

Payment is due in full at the time of an initial consultation and subsequent sessions in the form of cash or check.

I know that for many, the idea of going to an out-of-network provider might seem out of their budget at first, it helps to know that the majority of my clients submit their statements to their insurance providers and receive 60-80% reimbursement.  After formulating a diagnosis, I can provide a monthly billing statement/receipt for clients to submit to their insurance for reimbursement. The CPT code to inquire about is 90806.

My office is conveniently located within walking distance of the 4/5/6, 1/2/3, N/R, F/V, A/C/E and PATH trains in the Gramercy/Flatiron district and Union Square. A second office is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
